March is National Women’s History Month and a special opportunity to recognize the achievements and contributions of women to our nation. On March 28th, Women in Defense Central Florida Chapter (WID CFL) hosted a panel discussion featuring women who are business and community leaders during its annual Women’s History Month event. The panel members shared stories of agile practices, mentoring, team and personnel challenges, and the leadership skills that have helped them succeed in their careers.
We extend our thanks and appreciation to the panelists: Sandra Hendricks, Procurement Specialist, Cubic Corporation, Lisa Taylor, Personnel Resources Manager, PEO STRI, Jennifer Thompson, President of Insight Marketing Group and our panel moderator, Dr. JJ Walcutt, former Director of Innovation, Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative.
Special thanks to Huntington Ingalls Industries for their generous event sponsorship. We also want to thank everyone who attended the event. All proceeds will benefit WID CFL STEM scholarships and our STEM initiatives.
